Istanbuls Ataturk Airport is the largest airport and deals with both international and internal flights and also connections to the coastal holiday resorts. Antalya, Dalaman and Bodrum handle the majority of tourists during the season (May – October), while Izmir also handles both international and internal flights. If you are flying ‘luggage light’ a good tip is to fly to one of the large German cities, ie. Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Berlin or Munich with Ryan Air or Easy Jet, catch a connecting flight with Berlin Air or German Wings down to Turkey.
